Laying Flowers at the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims by Prime Minister Kishida and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy

On May 21, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, and H.E. Mr. Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, who is visiting Japan to attend some of the sessions of the G7 Hiroshima Summit, laid a wreath at the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture. The overview is as follows.

1. Prime Minister Kishida and President Zelenskyy were escorted to the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims by Mr. MATSUI Kazumi, Mayor of the City of Hiroshima. They laid a wreath at the Cenotaph and offered a silent prayer with the support of junior high and high school students in Hiroshima.
2. In addition, President Zelenskyy visited the Peace Memorial Museum and received explanations about the exhibits.
